Code of Conduct

Members of the South Carolina Aging in Place Coalition are committed to carrying out the Coalition’s Mission, Vision, and Initiatives. Therefore, each member of the Coalition agrees to observe and maintain the following standards of conduct in dealing with older adults, their caregivers and their families.

The Coalition members are committed to:

• Treating all older adults, their caregivers, families and friends with respect and dignity

• Conducting themselves with honesty and integrity

• Taking appropriate measures to maintain competence in their profession

• Protecting privacy and confidentiality

• Assuring that any product/service offered is appropriate and consistent with needs

• Taking responsibility to report any suspected abuse or violation of the Code of Conduct to a member of the Membership or Executive Committees.
