Current Initiatives
Transportation –Support ITN/Charleston Trident (Independent Transportation Network) by volunteering as drivers, encouraging donation of office supplies/equipment, used automobiles and encouraging other organizations and individuals to volunteer. SCAIP members have committed to provide a minimum of two rides a month over a twelve month period.

Education – Provide information through the Resource Directory and the SCAIP website about how to age in place and the wide range of resources that are available. Offer educational programs through the Speakers Bureau that are free of charge to civic, community, church and professional groups. Coordinate Coalition activities in connection with National Aging in Place Week.

Outreach – Seek out resources and opportunities to provide support (financial, in-kind services, advice) to Lowcountry older adults who need assistance to age-in-place successfully.
