“Dignified Transportation for Seniors”

At the fourth quarter meeting
of the South Caroling Aging in Place Coalition,
ITNCharlestonTrident
recognized members who participated as volunteer
drivers during 2009
The members of
the South Carolina Aging in Place Coalition support
ITNCharlestonTrident (Independent Transportation
Network) by volunteering as drivers,
encouraging donation of office supplies/equipment,
used automobiles and encouraging other organizations
and individuals to volunteer.
SCAIP members have committed to
provide a minimum of two rides a month over a twelve
month period. The following

ITN
is a nonprofit, membership organization dedicated to
helping seniors (65 and older) and the visually
impaired with their transportation needs. Using
private automobiles and both volunteer and paid
drivers, ITN
will transport these community members 24 hours a
day, seven days a week anywhere within the
ITN service
area. IITN
offers door-through-door, arm-through-arm, dignified
transportation service to seniors and the visually
impaired, and peace of mind to their families.
